“Pochahantas Says, ‘Yes!’”
The Donald doesn’t give a toss, and I love it.
I nearly fell out of bed laughing when he was talking about Ukraine’s limitless appetite for war materiel when they can’t win. He was in the midst of bragging about how he stopped military aid to Ukraine - more on that below - when he noticed Senator Elizabeth Warren in the audience. He asked, “Do you want to keep it going for another five years? Pocahontas says, ‘Yes!’”
That’s the kind of “call them out to their faces” bravado we need more. And before you accuse me of being a biased MAGAtard, listen to what others said.
CNN’s Scott Jennings said, “Democrats are ‘more lost’ and ‘more defeated’ than they were even before Trump’s speech.”
Brit Hume said, “If you ever doubted that Donald Trump is the political colossus of our time and our nation, this night and this speech should have put that to rest.”
And how about these polls? The CNN Instant Poll, held right after the debate, revealed 69% were either very or somewhat positive about Trump’s speech, and only 31% were negative. The CBS Instant Poll showed that 76% of the respondents approved Trump’s speech, while only 23% disapproved.
Democrats, you have a problem.
I encourage you to watch the entire speech when you have a moment today, perhaps at 1.5x speed.
But I want to discuss a few other, tangential points to the speech.
JD Vance Is Innocent!
No, JD Vance wasn’t talking about France or the UK when he said the following in his Hannity interview.
By the way the entirety of Europe and the UK’s media industrial complex is portraying it, you’d think he had spit on the graves of their soldiers. I’m embarrassed for them.
Vance is rightly concerned Europe’s piss-weak militaries can’t handle Russia.
But the problem is in the UK’s modern foundational myth: “We won The War.”
And by “we,” any Brit means “The British.” They think they won World War II by themselves. Really. When I first lived in London, I reminded a British colleague about how America bailed out the British. I’ll never forget his face. It was as if I said, “Luke… I am your father” to someone whose hand I just cut off. I didn’t make that mistake again in polite company.
Not to mention the over 20 million casualties the Russians suffered, and the Canadians, Aussies, Kiwis, French, and everyone else who contributed to the victory.
But because the Brits are taught they won WWII by themselves, every situation since has been compared to 1938, anyone who wants peace is compared to Neville Chamberlain, every perceived aggressor is compared to Hitler, and every current chickenhawk is compared to Churchill. That’s also why the Brits threw a hissy fit when Obama removed Churchill’s bust from the Oval Office. They think it reminds an American President to “do the right thing.”
The only thing on this planet more dangerous than the U.S.’s Deep State is the British Civil Service.
Starmer and Macron want this war to continue because their countries are a mess. But The Donald is right: it needs to end now, Pochahantas be damned.
And look no further for proof than…
Zelensky Caves, As We Knew He Would
This timeline lays it all out perfectly. Thanks to @WarClandestine, who posted this on X:
-Friday: Zelensky throws a fit and refuses to sign minerals deal at White House.
-Saturday/Sunday: Zelensky runs off to London to beg for money from Europe, they give him a minuscule amount of funds and tell him to go beg Trump for forgiveness.
-Monday: Trump says that if Zelensky does not come to the table ready for peace, then he will “not be around very long”. Hours later, Trump cuts off all weapons sales, aid, funding, stockpiles, etc., until Zelensky is committed to a ceasefire and peace deal.
-Today: Zelensky is ready to commit to a peace deal, first thing this morning.
You just witnessed the Art of the Deal play out in real time.
Trump is holding all the cards, and forced Zelensky to submit. Zelensky was trying to play games and keep this war going, so Trump dropped the hammer on him. Trump essentially told Zelensky ‘you either work with me on stopping this war, or we will let Putin kill you’.
You are watching a master at work.
Zelensky took his cap in hand, went to London, and received a whopping $3.6 billion from the Brits. Neither they nor Europe can afford to fight Russia.
And what will happen in the coming months?
The EU Will Cave Next
If you don’t laugh, you’ll cry.
After China, the EU - yes, the EU - is Russia's largest importer of fossil fuels. Yes, the EU has paid Russia more for fossil fuels than they gave Ukraine in aid.

Watch this space: The upcoming peace deal with Russia will include repairing and reopening Nordstream, which will reindustrialize Europe.
Now quickly back to The Donald.
Trump’s Speech Deserves a Chef’s Kiss
The Democrats couldn’t even stand for the things we should all agree on, like honoring the family of Corey Comperatore, the man who was killed during Trump’s assassination attempt. Al Green and the rest of his Democrat confederates were a damn disgrace last night, by the way, and the President mentioned it.
“This is my fifth such speech to Congress. And once again I look at the Democrats in front of me and I realize there is absolutely nothing I can say to make them happy or to make them stand or smile or applaud. Nothing I can do."
Here are a few more choice quotes from the speech:
“Over 130,000 people according to the social security databases are aged over 160 years old. We have a healthier country than I thought, Bobby."
"The media and our friends in the Democrat Party we needed new legislation to secure the border. But it turned out that all we really needed was A NEW PRESIDENT."
“I was saved by God to make America great again, I believe that.”
"We've ended the tyranny of so called 'Diversity, Equity and Inclusion' policies all across the entire federal government and indeed the private sector and our military.”
On Greenland: “I think we’re going to get it. One way or another, we’re going to get it.”
Speaking of Greenland, I will publish my Morning Reckoning piece on why Trump is so intent on acquiring the big island from Denmark tomorrow. Watch for it.
Wrap Up
Oh what a night! The President was excellent and the country agreed.
While the markets are bumpy, the political situation is improving. Hopefully, a peace deal will be inked before summer.
Have a great day!
