America’s Rubicon: Two Murders That Changed Everything
CORRECTION: In the original version, I mistook “Jones” for “Brown” in a few sentences. Obviously, Van Jones is only guilty of being a village idiot who works for CNN.
Has America crossed its Rubicon?
Iryna Zarutska was a Ukrainian refugee living with her family in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Charlie Kirk kept the company of Presidents, Vice Presidents, Prime Ministers, and other luminaries from around the world.
Murderers took them from us within a month of each other: one, a senseless, needless stabbing by an animal who never should have been on the streets.
The second was a professional hit job against a master orator and organizer that some had pegged for a future Republican National Committee Chairman, or even President of the United States.
Let’s explore why these two seemingly unconnected murders have galvanized conservatives in America at last to face the challenge of radical leftism.
Malfunctioning Government
I don’t believe in an omnipresent government. I want a low-tax, barely visible, minimal government that administers well and then gets out of the way. That’s why I’d love anarchy, but I know that will never happen. But that’s also why I prefer a monarchy to a democracy. There’s only one head to cut off that way.
But suppose I must have what recovering anarchocapitalists call minarchism. In that case, I’d limit the scope of small government to three areas: external policing (border protection), internal policing (public safety), and conflict resolution (a fair and impartial judiciary).
That’s it. No mission creep. No expansion of powers. Three things. Only.
However, to achieve that, you need competent public officials. And America is fresh out of them.
A Lawless Magistrate
On what was a seemingly ordinary August day, Iryna Zarutska, a 23-year-old from Ukraine, boarded the Lynx Blue Line light rail in Charlotte, North Carolina. Four minutes into what was supposed to be a routine ride, Decarlos Brown Jr., a man sitting behind her, stabbed her three times, including once in the neck. He was “gonna get that white girl,” as he was heard saying before the murder.
She bled out on the train and was immediately pronounced dead. Brown was charged with first-degree murder, and a federal offense that will hopefully lead to a date with the “Final Fauci.”
Of course, CNN’s village idiots like Van Jones tried to defend the man because he’s black. But if this isn’t a hate crime, then hate crimes don’t exist.
What’s particularly outrageous is that Brown has 14 prior arrests for all sorts of mischief, like armed robbery, breaking and entering, larceny, and assault. Before he murdered Zarutska, he was merely fare-jumping. If you’re counting, Brown’s priors amount to more than Tom Brady’s Super Bowl appearances.
How can this happen? Jesse Waters, of Fox News, tells us:
When Brown was arrested yet again in January of this past year, a Democrat judge, who I will add was a strong supporter of Kamala Harris, released this insane criminal once again without requiring him to pay any bail.
Ms. Stokes wasn't elected. She was nominated by the clerk in Mecklenburg County. The sitting clerk is Alyssa Chin Gary. On her LinkedIn page, she calls herself a clerk and a DEI consultant, and her life mission? Racial Reparations. Equity organizer.
Ms. Stokes was nominated by Judge Carla Archie. Judge Archie isn't just any judge. In 2019, she was the DEI Champion of the Year.
Is this starting to make sense? Did a woman die because of DEI? This is a DEI court, and they have blood on their hands. And if the people in robes are on the same side as the bad guys, that's suicide.
DEI died when Kamala lost. It's illegal, and releasing felons with dozens of arrests for social justice is a crime against the country.
Teresa Stokes has a law degree from one of the lowest-ranked law schools in America and hasn’t passed the bar exam. That means she’s not a real lawyer, let alone a real judge. Good Lord.
As Brown was arrested 14 times, we can’t count this as a failure on the part of the police. This is clearly a failure of the judiciary.
On the other hand, Charlie Kirk’s murder happened because it was a meticulously planned assassination.
A Sniper on a Rooftop in a College Town
I wasn’t a Charlie Kirk fan boy. And that’s not because he wasn’t eloquent or compelling. He was clearly both of those. It was that he was so boring a conservative. He loved Jesus, family, guns, and America.
He wanted to debate people. He was a talker. Kirk wasn’t the Menckenian prototype who’d “spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats."
Although Charlie Kirk didn’t attend university, he had an encyclopedic knowledge of American history. He mastered debating so thoroughly that he went to the Oxford Union and owned those little turds.
He traveled around America and debated with kids at universities. He was firm, but fair. Above all, he was organized. And that’s why “they” had to get him.
Kirk was as responsible as anyone for Donald Trump’s initial foray into the White House in 2016 and his return in 2024. Kirk didn’t abandon Trump in 2020 when Biden entered the Oval Office. Kirk helped Trump plan, organize, and execute his comeback.
The sorrowful messages of condolences from the likes of President Trump, Vice President Vance, Candace Owens, Megan Kelly, and others are heartfelt and personal. It speaks volumes about the type of man Kirk was. Ben Shapiro said that the first time he met Kirk, he thought Kirk would one day run the Republican National Committee. Others had him pegged as a future President of the United States.
Now, we’ll never know.
But what we do know is that Kirk was so organized and effective, powerful forces paid a professional sniper to hit Kirk at a university from over 200 meters away. That’s two football fields, folks. No amateur made that shot.
What should scare the left is what comes next. If they’re shooting the talkers, what are they going to do when the “next Charlie Kirk” is a firebrand who advocates violence as a valid political means to justify political ends?
Wrap Up
I didn’t put the links to the murderous videos because it’s too much to watch over coffee. But I encourage you to find the videos on X. You need to know what you’re up against. This is the current state of things. To ignore what is in front of you would be folly.
Has America crossed its political Rubicon?
I’d say the chances are better than even.
